About the Founders of Generational Venture Partners

Generational Venture Partners (GVP) was founded in April 2021 by three childhood friends from Colorado Springs, Colorado: Dominic Jennings, Walter Carney, and Darrion Pyos. What began as a shared passion for business, wealth-building, and community impact has evolved into a bold, purpose-driven venture with national vision and local roots.

From Group Chat to Generational Change

The inspiration for GVP emerged from a simple idea with powerful implications—conversation as currency. In early 2021, Dominic Jennings launched an iPhone group chat called “Money Talks,” bringing together 30+ individuals from across the country to discuss cryptocurrency, stocks, financial news, and economic trends. The energy in the chat was undeniable. People were hungry for knowledge, collaboration, and a pathway to true generational wealth.

Recognizing this momentum, Dominic approached his longtime friends Walter and Darrion with an idea: transform the energy of "Money Talks" into something enduring—an organization that educates, invests, and empowers. From that vision, Generational Venture Partners was born.

“Money Talks” was formally launched as a paid financial education community on Slack, GVP quickly gained traction. But after a successful first year, the founders pivoted their focus from group chat facilitation to a larger mission: building an investment group that empowers minority-owned businesses and drives growth across real estate, stocks, and cryptocurrency.

GVP’s mission extends beyond capital. We are committed to educating underserved communities on the power of financial literacy and building a network of informed investors and educators. Our goal is to foster generational wealth, elevate economic opportunities, and leave a lasting, positive impact in the communities we serve.

Through this mission, GVP is focused on three pillars:

• Investing in meaningful, scalable ventures—particularly those led by Black and Latino entrepreneurs.

• Giving back through philanthropic efforts that fund education, uplift families, and revitalize communities.

• Creating new avenues for financial freedom through storytelling, media, and culturally-rooted ventures.

Meet the Founders

Dominic Jennings is a serial entrepreneur, IT professional, and author of Flight to Purpose, a tech thriller centered on identity, innovation, and resilience. With over a decade in tech and business, Dominic is the visionary architect of GVP and its mission to reimagine what legacy means for communities of color.

Darrion Pyos is a University of Colorado Boulder graduate, dynamic sales professional, and entrepreneur. With his sharp communication skills and passion for business, Darrion helps lead GVP’s outreach, partnership development, and strategic execution.

Walter Carney is a United States Air Force Veteran, Fire Chief, husband, father, and entrepreneur whose life is defined by service and integrity. He ensures that GVP’s ventures remain people-first, grounded in values, and aligned with real community needs.
